Durable Goods Orders are new orders placed with U.S. manufacturers for immediate and future delivery of factory goods with a lifespan more than 3 years. Bureau of the Census, U.S. Department of Commerce issues a preliminary estimate of durable goods orders released 2 weeks before the complete report is released. Data from the previous month are often revised making it particularilty important to look at trends and raw data to properly analyze durable goods orders. Raw data can be found here.
